One of the main reasons that make Malaysia to stand out among other popular tourist attractions is due to its fascinating islands. The country boasts over 878 islands and many more geographical aspects such as ridges, sandy banks and rocks in the sea. The tropical rainforests and luscious beaches create a variety of options for the visitors including exploration, snorkeling and even diving. Visitors can also explore the astounding coral reefs with ease as the water is clear. Some of the most sought after islands in Malaysia include;


Langkawi Island is most popular for its beautiful beaches and it is also known to have the biggest collection of things to do and see. Reaching the tropical island is easy as it has its own international airport. Perhentian Islands

These islands attract many international travelers and are divided into small Perhentian/ Perhentian Kecil and big Perhentian/ Perhentian Besar. These islands are popular for their great diving opportunities and mesmerizing beaches. There are also comfy accommodations in the islands. The islands are also famous for numerous species of sharks, sea turtles and even coral. Tiny paths connect the various beaches.

Pulau Tioman

The island is very famous with diver that the government has restricted the number of divers in the island to 120 each day. This was a measure taken to protect the delicate eco-system around this vacation spot. The island is home to over 3,000 species of fish and coral. Hawksbill turtles, sharks and rays are also in abundance around the island
