Party Ideas - KidsLots of ideas for themes, favors, games, food, and more for kids parties. We're always adding new stuff so come back often.
Pinecone turkeys have always been popular with the younger crowd. They are inexpensive to make and don’t require a lot of adult assistance, from start to finish. Supplies include: a pine cone, an acorn, construction paper, pencil, glue, a small piece of modeling clay, scissors and small wiggle eyes (which can be purchased at any craft store). Cut out construction paper feathers and glue to the top of the large end of the pinecone. For the head, glue the acorn to the opposite end of the cone. (Top of acorn should be touching the cone.) Glue one eye to each side of the head. Cut small waddle out of red construction paper and place appropriately. Dry completely and attach small piece of clay to underside of pinecone, for stability. Another easy craft for kids is designing Thanksgiving potholders. All that is required for this project is permanent markers or fabric paint and plain cotton potholders that can be purchased online or at many local craft stores. Allow children to use their imagination to create this Thanksgiving ‘kitchen helper’ that can be used for years to come. Make a simple centerpiece using colorful fall flowers and Indian corn. Place several ears of corn, upright, in a wide mouth vase. (For best results use a variety of colors.) Fill vase with water, almost to the top. Arrange flowers and other dried weeds, as desired. The stems will fit quite easily between the ears of corn. More Thanksgiving ideas for kids Zoo Party
