Dreams are very important for each of us. At least, in childhood, all of us dream about who we will become when we will be grown ups. Some of us want to have more jobs at the same time: doctor, journalist etc. Rarely people become what they wanted to become in childhood. And this is not because it is impossible, but because some of us don’t believe in their dreams enough. So have you wanted to become a pilot? Go for it! Have you only wanted to become a dreamer? Go for it too! Paint your dreams, write down your thoughts, your every part of your being. If you are doing it right, people will adore you, anything you will do. Abraham Lincoln thought that whatever a man is, he should be a good one.
How to succeed?
The following 7 ways on how to live your passion in life will help you to live your dreams and to make a good career.
1. Erase the “Impossible” word from your mind.
Think about it like it is abstract, not real at all, a myth. And it really is a myth; nothing is impossible and you should realize that. YOU make it possible and you are the only one who has the power to make it this way.
2. Make baby steps.
No matter what is your final goal, it is very important to make baby steps. Not because you can’t do bigger steps, but because they are more sure than big steps.
3. Find your motivation.
Each of us is different, so each of us prefers a different type of motivation. Some of us are easy to motivate, others are not. Anyway, you can find motivation in: films, books, life stories you will hear, speeches, quotes (famous or not), paintings and even in your family. (image by narconon)
4. Be able to see the good and the bad in your work.
Even if you are maybe a perfectionist, admit your flaws and also your qualities. Know yourself better than anyone and stay objective when you watch yourself rising or falling. If there is something about competition, do not worry. Be brave enough to meet your enemy and to shake his hand no matter if you won or not.
5. Do not give up!
Admit that there is nothing more motivational than a failure. See the mistakes then correct them. Know that when they start walking on the road of their dreams, people tend to give up because instead of looking how far they have gotten, they look at how much they still have to go.
6. Have patience with yourself.
No warrior can win a battle in a second, like no painter can make a piece of art in few hours. Most of the best things need time. Don’t expect too much from yourself. Surprise yourself. You are the one who chose the road you walk on, you are the one who was brave enough to dream this far. You are where you are because you had power and strength to follow your dream. (image by Sarah)
Work is the most important in the process of reaching success and having a successful career. Notice that, as you repeat doing the same thing, you get to do it better. Of course, routine has a bad influence, but experience not.
Stop believing that dreams are just dreams. They can become reality, and the only one who has the power to make them real is you. Don’t forget: reality is just a dream that had the courage to become real. Turn your dreams into reality because you deserve it, because you need it and mostly – because you want it!
