Africa is one of the continents which boost one of the best wildlife experiences in the world. This has made tourism the greatest industry in the region earning substantial amount of foreign exchange. East Africa’s diversity is sensational characterized by range of terrains, friendly climates, ecosystems, stunning cultures and adorable wildlife experience. Compiling the best and amazing list of East Africa’s national game parks and game reserves is definitely the most difficult task. This is due to high number of candidates with amazing features and also different tastes and preferences among people. Some of these amazing parks include.
This is the greatest national reserve that Kenya boosts of. Located in southwestern art of Kenya, Masai Mara is a continuation of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. It is well known for the annual migration of over 1.3 million wildebeest, 190,000 zebra and 360000 gazelle which normally occurs between Julys to October. It attracts thousands of foreign tourists with many of them dubbing it as the seventh wonder of the world. As if this is not the end, as the herbivores endeavor to cross the river, crocodiles, lions, and leopards all lie in wait for their arrival pouncing on the vulnerable and the weak. Serengeti National Park
It is one of the largest national parks in the region comprising of 14% of the entire landmass within Tanzania and extends from the continuing plains of the Masai Mara in Kenya. Visiting this amazing park you will come across the big 5, grants and Thomson’s gazelles, baboons, elephants, African wild dog among others. Has an estimated population of about 500 bird species including the crowned crane, kori bustard and the marabou stork ostrich. The Serengeti National Park is listed as a world heritage site and boarders the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the South East. It is a place of its own, you can’t miss out!
Amboselli National Park
Characterized by its amazing hot and dry climate, the park is a home of a stunning diversity of thousands of wildlife which makes it one of the most popular parks in Kenya. It is located in the Kajiado County at the Southern part of the country which helps in empowering the local Masai community into employment. It has the largest concentration of elephants in Kenya, and makes it a superb photo spot with the highest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro. Has nearly all types of diversities and one can get the opportunity of interacting with the unique Masai community.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area
This was once a part of the Serengeti National Park and it is located in Northern Tanzania. Unique variations of rock are some of the features that make this place incomparable to the rest conservation areas of the world.
