Malaysia is arguably the best vacationing destination in the world with several tourist attractions matched with luxurious tourist amenities and activities. To add color to the already good package, the Malay people love kids, and that is why there are several kid friendly attractions in Malaysia such as theme parks, beaches, museums and national parks.
Let us take a sneak peak of a few of these attractions.
Sepilok Rehabilitation centre
The Sepilok rehabilitation centre was opened in the year 1964 to rescue orphaned orangutans that survived hunting and adverse environmental conditions. All kids love animals especially orangutans, and visiting this rehabilitation centre will quench their thirst of exploring the beauty behind wild animals.
Kuala Gandah elephant sanctuary and Deerland
This is the National Elephant Conservation Center located near Kuala Lumpur. It features a natural habitat for elephants and other wild animals whose natural environments have been interfered with. The Berjaya Times square theme park is the best example here. Sunway lagoon and the Puteri harbor family theme park are other examples. There is also a variety of water parks, amusement parks and indoor parks that beg to be explored, for instance the wet world water park.
The love of beaches in kids will lead you to this wonderful archipelago of ninety-nine islands located in the Andaman Sea. The white beaches, mountain peaks and high-end restaurants accentuate the vacationing experience.
Perhentian islands also feature amazing beaches that one cannot miss. They are located in the Northeastern coast of Malaysia near the Thai border. The turquoise blue sea makes the experience even more memorable.
Located in the tropical rain forest, Taman Negara is the home of massive trees forming canopies that gives an inkling that nature is at its best. Furthermore, waterfalls and wild animals such as leopards and rhinos complete the ecosystem, giving an ambiance of Mother Nature having something for everything.
Baba-Nonya Heritage Museum in Melaka town

This Malay living museum depicts the family life of an archetypal Malaysian family, making it suitable for international tourism involving kids. To add to that, a tourist will be awed by the strategic location of hotel Visma, Metropole Hotel and Olio Italian restaurant.
This river is suitable for many tourist activities such as boating. Cruising and walking along the riverbanks especially in the morning is pleasant and it gives an impression of nature at its best.
A kid is always awed by the neat arrangement of goods on sale in a shopping mall. For this reason, visiting Malaysia’s shopping malls such as Suria KLCC and Berjaya Times square will be a step in the right direction. Most of these shopping malls have playing ground for kids and other playing facilities to fully occupy your kid.
Concisely, Malaysia is the home of many tourist attraction for all and sundry. The above list is just a tip of the iceberg, given the fact that it only features kid friendly attractions. However, depending on the age of the kid, he or she may also like other attractions like the Christ Church, St. Peter’s Church, St. Paul’s Church and Francis Xavier Church, Cameron highlands, Georgetown Inner city and Mulu caves.
